Q Share responses and questions you have after reading Moreland plus Ortberg or Holloman. Share and/or interact with others about what caught your attention about spiritual formation from these readings. Moreland's may be a little difficult, but you should be able to grasp some important points from his chapter. • What is spiritual formation? • What's the mind got to do with it? • What does the content, strength, and centrality of a thought have to do with spiritual formation? Write a substantive initial post responding to these questions by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday. Then respond substantively to at least two group members' posts by 11:59 p.m. on Friday. When there is renewal of the mind of a believer of God to be spiritually and psychologically refined and transitioned, it is known as spiritual formation (Moreland, ch. 3). The complete surrendering of the mind, body and soul to God and spiritual things (like service to God) leads to spiritual formation. There has to be the highest level of importance given to the soul of a human being rather than on the body of the human being in case of spiritual formation (Moreland, ch. 3). This is because the soul has to be refined and renewed to keep the body clean and spiritually guided.
